Which soccer teams engage the most fans across the world in 2025?

We compile search traffic data to list the top 10 football teams who have the most fan interest in the world.

According to our data at Hyperet Group, Real Madrid are the most searched for soccer team in the world and are looked up online 71 millions times a month across the globe. Manchester United are the EPL team with the most fans in the world and are second overall with 62 million searches and Barcelona third with 56 million searches per month. We monitor EPL teams progress relative to their 5 year net spend as the biggest clubs are themselves having to constant adapt to the changing tactics and strategy of the wider football industry.

Real Madrid get approximately 87% of their interest outside of Spain, Manchester United receive roughly 89% of their interest from outside of the UK. However, FC Barcelona receive the highest share their total support from intermational territories, with 94% of their interest coming from outside of Spain.

Which country has the most football teams in the top 10 most popular in the world?

England has the most teams in the top ten most searched across the world, namely Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal. This is mostly due to the fact that the Premier League is the most popular soccer league in world with La Liga in second. An indicator of this, is that searches made in Spain for the EPL reach 20% of searches made for the domestic La Liga. Converesly, La Liga gains just 6% of UK searches when compared to the EPL.

Why are Brazilian and Turkish clubs among the best supported in the world and which ones are they?

Brazilian and Turkish clubs recieve the most domestic fan traffic in the world owing to there huge populations and football centric culture. Flamengo are the 5th most searched for team in the world (31.3 million searches a month), Corinthians are 6th (31.1 million), Galatasary 6th (26.5 million) and Fenerbahce 7th (26.3 million). All of these clubs recieve atleast 80% of this interest from their domestic markets (i.e. Brazil or Turkey).

Why are Bayern Munich not in the top 10 most supported clubs in the world?

FC Bayern München are actually a distance off making the list of the top 10 most searched for clubs in world in 2025. They recieve approximately 9.7 million searches world wide – Arsenal, tenth in the list, receive over 20 million. This is likely to do with the Bundesliga not being as popular as other leagues around the world, while in Germany, domestic support is carved up between a number of well established clubs. FC Bayern München, as shown below, receive a 24.4% share of all searches for Bundesliga teams across the world. This is a significant share, but not huglely dominant. Borussia Dortmund are also close behind them with a 19.4% share.
