Based on the latest data we gathered in October 2025, the LA Lakers are searched more than any other NBA team around the world, clocking up approximately 14 million searches from around the world each month. This equates to a 22.3% share of searches for all NBA teams.

The Boston Celtics are second with an 11.1% share of all NBA teams around the world (approximately 7 million searches a month). In third place are the Golden State Warriors with 4.3 million searches a month and a 6.8% share of all NBA team searches around the world.

The LA Lakers have the most fans out of any NBA team in terms of web search interest across the USA, according to our latest study in October 2025, The Lakers gain approximately 9.3 million searches across the USA each month, giving them a 19.8% share of all NBA team searches in the USA each month.

The Boston Celtics place second for US interest, recording 5.5 million searches a month (11.7% share of all NBA team searches in the USA). In third are the NewYork Knicks who achieve 3.7 million searches in the US each month and a 7.9% share of all NBA team searches in the US.

Which NBA team has the largest share of their fanbase coming from countries outside of the USA?

The Toronto Raptors have the largest share of their fanbase coming from outside the USA, with 53% of their search traffic coming from international territories (namely Canada). The LA Lakers rank second for non-US traffic share with 52%. In third are the brooklyn Nets with 51%.

The teams with the highest reliance on US based traffic are no.1, The Detroit Pistons who gain 82% of their traffic from the USA. Second are the Cleveland Cavaliers with 80% and third are the Atlanta Hawks who rely on 73% of their total search traffic coming from the USA.

As of October 2025, our data concludes that the Washington Wizards are searched the least out of any NBA team across the world each month, attaining around 320,000 searches each month and a 0.5% share of all NBA team searches.
