Which NFL team has the largest fan base in terms of internet traffic and social media platforms?
According to our November 2025 data that includes global web searches for the teams, website traffic, youtube subscribers, reddit members and instagram followers, The Dallas Cowboys top our NFL standings for the most fans, gaining a 7.3% share of total NFL team engagement across these platforms. However, they do not win in all categories assessed. The Kansas City Chiefs are a very close second overall with a 7.2% share, and score the highest for youtube subscribers and web traffic from outside of the USA.
The third biggest NFL fanbase in our rankings is the Pittsburgh Steelers with a 6.2% share, the Philadelphia Eagles are 4th with 5%, with the Detroit Lions and New England Patriots joint 5th with 4.4%.
The team with the lowest support as of November 2025, is the Tennessee Titans, who manage a 1.1% share of total digital engagement across all NFL teams.

As of November 2025, the Dallas Cowboys are searched the most as a global total, with 9.010,000 searches for them each month. The Pittsburgh Steelers are second with 8,401,000 searches each month and the Kansas City Chiefs third, with 8,208,000 searches each month.

Our data suggests that the Miami Dolphins receive the most visits to their website out of any NFL side, with approximately 4,100,000 visitors each month. In second, is the Kansas City chiefs with 3,200,000 and third, the Philadelphia Eagles with 2,900,000.

Which NFL side has the most Youtube subscribers?
As of our November 2025, we found that the Kansas City Chiefs have a substantial lead over every other NFL side in terms of subscribers to their official youtube channel with 1.36 million subscribers. The next largest is the Philadelphia Eagles, with 883,000 subs – 477,000 shy of the Chiefs.

The New England Patriots have more members on their dedicated subreddit than any other NFL equivalent; as of November 2025 thay have 869,000 members, significanty more than the Los Angeles Rams in second place who have 520,000. The Green Bay Packers are third with 505,000.

The New England Patriots have the largest official instagram following as of November 2025, with 5.1 million followers. The Dallas Cowboys are second with 5.0 million and the Philadelphia Eagles third, with 4.8 million.

Which NFL Team has the most fans in the USA?
The Dallas Cowboys are searched on the web more than any other NFL team in America, generating approximately 8.62 million searches each month as of November 2025. The Pittsburgh Steelers are next with 8 million and the Kansas city Chiefs are third with 7.5million, followed by the Detroit Lions with 5.1 million.
The Buffalo Bills and Green Bay Packers are joint 5th with each getting 4.2 million searches inside the USA each month.

Which NFL franchise enjoys the most persistence of interest across all US States?
The LA Chargers show the least variance in interest between their top state of interest, California (100%) vs their bottom state, Vermont (25%) – giving a variance of 75%. This is assessed based on how often the team is searched in each state as a percentage of all internet searches, with all states benchmarked against the top top state which is giving a score of 100% (in this case California.
The New Orleans Saints gain the least persistence in search interest across all US states as their top state Louisiana (100%) is 98% scores as an increase of 98% in search share of the state of Maine at just 2%.

Which NFL Teams capture web traffic most efficiently in the USA?
From our latest data in the US Digital Fan Index which benchmarks digital capture and value across all major US leagues, The New York Giants, LA Rams and LA Chargers perform strongly due to both high traffic capture to active channels (web searches, website visits, Reddit members and Youtube subscribers) while also having high value traffic (based on CPC as a proxy for commercial intent.
In terms of pure capture efficiency, The Tampa Bay Buccaneers currently convert the highest share of their total traffic to active channels.

Which NFL team has the biggest fanbase outside of the USA?
Based on team search queries and website traffic from outside of the US, the Kansas City Chiefs have the largest international following with a combined 1,108,000 searches and visitors outside of America. The Buffalo Bills are second with a combined 920,000 and the Pittsburgh Steelers in third with 820,000.

Which NFL team has the biggest share of their total fanbase coming from outside of the USA?
The Cincinnati Bengals currently record the highest international search percentage (15%) as a share of their total search traffic. The The LA Rams are next with 14% and the Chargers third with 11%. This continues the trend of LA based franchises enjoying more interest around the world generally.
The Buffalo Bills are joint 3rd also with 11% of their search traffic coming from outside of the US and the Jaguars in 5th, with 10%.

Which NFL side has the most total fan engagement from the NFL’s biggest growth markets?
Across the NFL’s key international territories, which include the UK, Canada, Mexico, Germany and Brazil, the Kansas City Chiefs record the highest amount of search interest and are looked up 438,000 times each month across these countries The Buffalo Bills are second with 316,000 and The Dallas Cowboys are third with 279,000.
Do NFL teams gain more traction than the NFL brand around the world?
In the USA, the total searches for NFL teams almost double than searches for the NFL brand itself. Outside of the US this trend is reversed and brand search exceeds the total searches made for the teams.
The UK now holds the second highest rate of team searches as a % of brand and team searches, with approximately 44% dedicated to the teams. Canada is next with a 42% rate of team vs brand search and Germany 4th with 32% dedicated to teams. This is shown in full via the graph below:
How much does Superbowl success contribute to international fan traction?
As a general rule, once outside North America, Superbowl success has a major bearing on visibility and online interest.
Both the Kansas City Chiefs and New England Patriots have had sustained periods of success in the last 10 years. Both of these sides feature in the top 8 for international traffic share.
Moreover, the last 9 Super Bowl Champions appear in the top 12 teams here for international fan engagement – a clear sign that this plays a significant role in global recognition.
How does the NFL compare to other franchises such as the EPL for international interest?
According to our fan engagement data, The NFL records far less international traffic share compared to franchises such as the EPL, MLS and NBA. Growth in this area has been targeted by the NFL franchise, with overseas games now being played in the UK, Brazil and Germany. However, with such high domestic support, this may be seen as less vital than these other franchises mentioned.
