The Premier League’s Best and Worst Fans in 2025: The EPL ‘Fanbase Reputation Table’
Which EPL Team is Thought to Have the Worst Fans in 2025?
After running sentiment (psychographic) analysis across Reddit, Hyperset can report that Arsenal are considered to have the most disliked (or ‘annoying’) fans in the EPL as of October 2025. This is due to the intensity of complaints (emotional intenity of complaints rated 101/10) made about them by other teams fans, coupled with the frequency of these complaints (rated at a frequency level of 19.58%), Arsenal also have the second biggest net spend of any EPL team in the last five years, limiting their progress on our latest EPL Table Adjusted For Net Spend.
Premier League fans ranked Liverpool FC the second most disliked across Reddit, scoring 9/10 for the emotional intensity of negative mentions towards them, with a frequency rating of 17..85%. Manchester United are ranked third most disliked with a 9.10 instensity score and 16.70% for frequency.

What was the methodology for this table?
A programmitic psychoanalysis was run across multiple football relevant subreddits, looking for triggers within posts made by football fans about other sets of supporters, such as ‘I hate it when {team x fans}…’ or ‘I can’t stand (team x fans}…’ etc.
These were then assessed by level of intensity based on the type of language used, giving each negative comment an ’emotional intensity’ score. These were then also measured for frequency, or in other words, how often these negative assertions were being made.
By combining the 2 scores, we could start to get a clear signal on the teams fans that were most complained about online, and how disliked they were as a general consensus.
