Which Premier League Team Has the Most Fans in the World?
As of November 2025, Manchester United are the most popular EPL team in terms of total digital engagement volume across the world, recording a huge 157,662,000 interactions across online searches (monthly), website traffic (monthly), youtube subscribers, reddit community members and instagram followers. They also rank in the top 3 most searched football clubs in the world. Manchester City are second in the EPL, recording a total figure 68.1% (107,373,000) the size of Manchester United and Liverpool FC are third and remain one the of the Premier League’s most popular teams, with a total figure of 99,417,000: 63.1% the size of Man Utd’s online engagement.

In terms of share, this gives Manchester United a 33.9% share of digital engagement (search, website traffic, youtube subs, reddit community and instagram followers) across all EPL teams. Manchester City gain 16.2% and Liverpool 12.4%.
Meanwhile Chelsea outscore Arsenal FC with Instagram taken in to account, gaining 8.6% share of digital engagement across all Premier League sides (placing them 4th in the league). However, when discounting Instagram, Arsenal gain more volume than Chelsea, including across web searches, website traffic and reddit community.

Which Premier League sides have the biggest fan bases in the UK?
Manchester United has the biggest following of any Premier League side in the UK based on search traffic for the team and visits to the club’s website, with a total of 11.6 million for these combined. Arsenal are second for UK fan engagement (jumping up from 5th for the global figure) with a combined total of approximately 11 million. Liverpool are third with around 7.2 million.
Leeds United also made a strong showing in terms of traction in the United Kingdom, ranking up in 7th place and scoring 3.39 million for monthly team search requests and website traffic combined from the UK.

Which Premier League sides have the most support outside of the UK?
The team with the most digital visibility and traction outside the United Kingdom is Manchester United, who gain a combined figure of 69,287,000 non-UK web searches and visitors to the team website each month. In second place is Manchester City, with a combined figure of 37,650,000 and third is Liverpool FC with 30,700,000,

What is the split of UK vs International traffic for each Premier League team?
Manchester City currently have the largest international fan engagement as a share of their total engagement: only 15% of City’s search traffic and website visits come from the UK – this is the lowest UK share of total team traffic in the EPL.
20% of Manchester United’s search traffic and website visits are from the UK with Liverpool showing 21% for this statistic.
The teams most heavily reliant on UK based traffic are Sunderland AFC, who we recorded as having 62% of their total engagement coming from the UK. The next team most weighted to UK engagement are Leeds United who have approximately 55% of their total digital engagement coming from the UK.

Which EPL Team Has the Best and Most Engaged Fans?
In terms of digital fan activity and engagement there are several signals to reference, however AFC Bournemouth and West Ham United consistently rank high vs other Premier League sides. Both have a higher share of engagement in the clubs reddit community, youtube subscriber base and team website relative to the general search traffic for the team. AFC Bournemouth have the highest ratio (0.5%) of reddit community members vs their team search traffic: this is a signal of high fan engagement and genuine enthusiasm for the club, its wider community, players and latest news.
West Ham United are in second place with 0.34%, and Newcastle United are third with 0.29%, which also indicates and active and engaged fan base.

When we break this down in terms of search traffic vs youtube subscribers, Tottenham Hotspur have a youtube subscriber base totaling 82% of all searches made for the team. This is a signal that a higher percentage of fans browsing the team are actively engaged in the progress of the side.

Looking at the teams website traffic as a percentage of total team search traffic, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United both record more website traffic than the amount of fans searching for the team themselves. This indicates that their (multi-use) stadiums have a bearing on this particular result.

Which Premier League team has the largest fanbase in the USA?
As of October 2025, Manchester United are searched more than any other EPL team in the USA, with approximately 2.65 million searches for the team every month.
Liverpool has the second largest online fanbase in the USA among EPL teams, with the team being searched about 2.25 million times each month and Arsenal are third with 2.05 million searches each month.

Which Premier League teams gain the highest share of their support from the USA?
The EPL team with the highest share of searches coming from the USA is Tottenham Hotspur, with 17% of their total searches around the world coming from the US. A key factor in this is likely to be the stadium which is the first fully compliant NFL stadium outside of the US which stages regular NFL games and raises the profile of the club in The States.
Wolverhampton Wanderers record the second biggest search share from the USA. Reasons for this include an e-sports team and also a history of involvement in US Soccer back in the 70’s to the present day. Brighton and Arsenal also index high, with 9% and 8% shares respectively.
Which Premier League teams gain the highest share of their support from Brazil?
Brentford FC record the highest share of their overall searches from Brazil with 10%. Manchester City, West Ham and Fulham record the second highest share with 9% each. Machester City provide an anomaly however, as they are the only team in the EPL who record a higher share of interest from Brazil than they do in the UK. Their success in the last 10 years, as well as a history of Brazilians in the team during this time such as Elano and Robinho, may have helped drive this interest.
Which Premier League teams gain the highest share of their support from India?
Manchester United have the highest overall volume of fans across the world out of any EPL team, this is boosted by countries such as India where they have the highest share (9%) of Indian interest out of their global support and also the highest outright volume. Manchester City enjoy the second biggest (8%) Indian share of their total support with Chelsea coming in thier with 5% and Arsenal and Liverpool next with 4% of their total team searches coming from India.
Aside from these clubs, Indian interest makes up around 2% of other EPL teasm global searches, indicating that support from this part of the world tends to be more concentrated to the biggest and most successful teams than other territories.
Which Premier League teams gain the highest share of their support from Nigeria?
Nigeria, like India, sees a clear gap in team interest share between the biggest clubs and the rest of the league. Chelsea record the highest share of their total search interest from Nigeria, with 9%. Manchester United record 8% for this figure and enjoy the overal highest volume of searches in the country. Manchester City and Arsenal both record 5% for this figure, with the rest of the league averaging around 2% of their total interest coming from Nigeria.
