According to our February 2026 data across global web searches, website traffic, youtube subscribers, reddit members and instagram followers for NHL teams, the Edmonton Oilers rank #1 in our NHL Index for online traction, gaining 5,802,800 interactions across the platforms mentioned, giving them an approximate 8.4% share of online interest across all NHL teams.
The Toronto Maple Leafs are #2, measured at 5,562,000 interactions, giving them an approximate online engagement share of 8.1% across all teams in the NHL.
The third biggest NHL onlne fanbase in our rankings are the Boston Bruins registering 4,056,600 interaction points, giving them a share of c.5.9% of online interest across every team in the league.

Which NHL side attracts the most website visits?
Our latest data suggests that the Edmonton Oilers receive the most visits to their website out of any NHL side, with approximately 865,800 visitors each month. In #2 is the Toronto Maple Leafs with c.722,000 and #3 is the Washington Capitals, receiving an average of c.612,300 visits to their site each month.

As of our February 2026 data, we found that the Edmonton Oilers have the largest share of their total engagement arriving via web searches (62%).
The Utah Mammoth have the largest share of their total digital engagement arriving via website visits, accounting 28% of total interaction across their entire digital ecosystem.
Florida Panthers have the largets share of youtube subscribers as a percentage of their total engagement, accounting for 15% of their digital ecosystem.
Toronto Maple Leafs have the biggest share of reddit subscribers as a total of their entire digital ecosystem, accounting for 7% of their total digital engagement.
Pittsburgh Penguins have the highest share of instagram followers as a percentage of their total digital ecosystem, accounting for 70% of all their digital traction.

Based on team search queries and website traffic from outside of the US, the Edmonton Oilers have the largest international following with a combined 3,774,300 searches and visitors outside of America.
