Which NFL Fanbase has the Best and Worst Reputation in 2025?
Which NFL team’s fans are most liked?
According to our latest data (run in October 2025) the Buffalo Bills fanbase ranked as the most liked among NFL fans on Reddit. They were the only fanbase to generate significantly more positive than negative sentiment based on online comments from other fans, partly because the negativity towards them was so low generally. Emotional intent towards their fans was one of respect and admiration, with words such as ‘beloved’, ‘loyal’, ‘charity’ and ‘humour’ used to describe them.
This is perhaps even more impressive due to the fact that the Bills have one of the largest fanbases in the NFL, both in America and internationally.
The second most liked fanbase in the NFL goes to the Carolina Panthers, who scored just 1/10 for the intensity of negative comments made about them. The Panthers fanbase was generally considered ‘kind’, ‘calm’ and ‘welcoming by other supporters.
The third most liked set of fans is the Arizona Cardinals who also had very little negativity about them online and were regarded as ‘universally friendly’.
Which NFL team’s fans are the most disliked?
As of October 2025, The Philadelphia Eagles fans came out of our study as having the most negative reputation. The emotional intensity of negative comments about them online are rated as 10 out of 10. The frequency of these comments were also measured as ‘very high’. Common themes associated with the team’s fanbase included hostility, uber-aggressiveness and being unruly.
The second most disliked NFL set of supporters is the Dallas Cowboys fanbase, who also recorded a 10 out 10 for the intensity of negative comments made about them at a very high rate of frequency. This seemed to stem less out of aggressive behaviour and more into what other NFL fans deem as arrogance. Reputational threads associated with the Cowboys fanbase include ‘America’s team stereotype’ and boastful.
This is quite similar to the fan reputation of the New England Patriots, who while scoring 9/10 for the intensity of negative comments about them, were also accused of being ‘entitled’, ‘smug’ and ‘widely disliked’ by other NFL fans.

How was the NFL fan reputation table calculated?
A psychographic analysis was made across Reddit – specifically relevant subreddits such as r/nfl looking for language patterns and emotional triggers made by fans about other teams supporters.
This was then given a score in terms of the emotional intensity of the comment, either positive or negative. A frequency score (how often these comments are made) was also calculated to give an overall rating of the perception of an NFL team’s fanbase by other supporters.
