Connecting brands through sports audience data

Hyperset identifies credible audience overlap between sports organisations, brands and markets, then turns that evidence into useful research, partner-ready content and live data modules that give every party a relevant reason to cite, publish and share.

The service

Authority works better when the connection is real

The objective is not to manufacture a backlink. It is to uncover a genuine audience relationship worth publishing.

Sports organisations already share audiences with sponsors, destinations, media companies, consumer brands and other teams. The problem is that those relationships are often described with generic partnership language rather than evidence.

Hyperset provides the independent measurement layer. We find the overlap, quantify it, build the research story and create tailored versions that make sense on each organisation’s own site.

Editorial principle: citations and links should exist because the research is genuinely relevant to the reader. Hyperset does not position this as a paid link-exchange product.
How it works

One evidence base, multiple useful stories

1

Find the overlap

Hyperset identifies a defensible connection between two organisations through search demand, geography, audience movement, events, people or content behaviour.

2

Measure it

We collect and normalise the relevant search, trend, geography and owned-site signals so the story is supported by an independent dataset.

3

Publish the research

Hyperset creates the neutral source page: charts, maps, methodology, dated updates and the underlying finding in a form both parties can reference.

4

Tailor each version

Each organisation receives a standalone editorial version built around what the finding means for its own audience, with relevant citation back to the common research.

What partners receive

A content partnership with a measurable data layer

Research

Independent evidence hub

A publishable Hyperset research page with methodology, maps, charts, rankings and clear source provenance.

Editorial

Partner-specific content

Complete article drafts, headlines, charts and contextual copy designed for each participating organisation’s audience.

Live data

Embeddable intelligence

Where the data supports it, selected metrics can become managed live widgets or feeds that refresh on partner-owned pages.

Distribution

Shared authority

Each party has a legitimate reason to reference the same independent source, creating a stronger information network around the topic.

Monitoring

Movement over time

Hyperset can track whether the relationship strengthens, weakens or shifts after campaigns, events and crossover activity.

Reporting

Commercial proof

The same framework can support sponsor reporting, market-entry stories, partnership reviews and audience-growth conversations.

Proof of concept

New Zealand Rugby × Baltimore

Hyperset is currently tracking the audience relationship around New Zealand rugby and Baltimore: All Blacks interest across US states, Maryland’s relative strength, Baltimore Ravens demand in New Zealand and movement over time.

The result is a single independent evidence base that can support a New Zealand Rugby story, a Baltimore Ravens story and live audience modules without either organisation needing to produce the underlying research itself.

Why this is different

The relationship is the product

Traditional sponsored content starts with a brand message and looks for somewhere to place it. This service starts with the audience evidence and asks what story genuinely belongs between the organisations.

  • Relevant enough for both sites to publish.
  • Independent enough to be cited as research.
  • Specific enough to create original charts and findings.
  • Dynamic enough to be revisited as the audience changes.
Where it can work

Not limited to teams and sponsors

Team ↔ sponsor

Show where sponsor and fan demand overlap, and how that changes around campaigns or activations.

Team ↔ destination

Measure international audience corridors around tours, fixtures, host cities and tourism partnerships.

League ↔ media brand

Identify markets, teams and topics where both organisations already have audience authority.

Sport ↔ sport

Find crossover audiences between leagues, clubs or athletes and build a measurable editorial bridge between them.

Brand ↔ athlete

Use search geography and topic demand to identify where a partnership has authentic audience relevance.

Market ↔ market

Track emerging international fan corridors and turn them into useful research before they become obvious.

Plug in to Hyperset

Start with the audience connection

If there is a sports organisation, sponsor, market or brand you believe shares an audience with yours, Hyperset can test the relationship first. If the evidence is there, we can turn it into the research, content and live data layer that both parties can use.
